Ashland and its environs are geographically diverse and culturally rich. Many of our guests come for the Shakespeare Festival only to discover there is so much more to see and do. Performing Arts

Ashland offers a number of venues for the performing arts -- the classics and avant garde, always innovative and compelling. Oregon Shakespeare Festival is of course the best known and the nation's oldest, largest regional theater -- plays run from late February through to early November. Nature/Wildlife

Some of the country's most breathtaking scenery and wonders are in Southern Oregon. Because of their uniqueness, the Klamath-Siskiyou ranges provide wonderful opportunity to view rare and endemic flora and fauna. The World Wildlife Fund calls the Klamath-Siskiyou eco-region the "Galapagos of North America."

Southern Oregon has as many as 25 small vineyards and 6 wineries (with tasting rooms). The region is known for Merlots, Cabernets, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay.
