We spotted
this Lesser Anteater (Tamandua tetradactyla) while kayaking
in the Cuervo y Salado Wildlife Refuge. He (sex?) was
trundling along a tree limb that spanned high across our heads.
He was not pausing to pose!
A rare sighting,
usually nocturnal: they are toothless with prehensile tales
and four-clawed forelimbs; found in tropical South America and
Central America
